Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Fun, then boring and hard
Ok, at first it is fun; skating with coach, talking to friends, and playing the fun mini games. It has kind of dull and annoying music but it's not unbearable. Also, the story-line is a bit cheesy. It is dumb becasue it won't let you do anything in your life but what is programed for you and the people talk too much. The expressions are silly, ex. when falling OOH!, and before jumps and spins, Here We Go! The graphics have some room for improvement and the accessories for the girl are wild, ex. bunny rabbit tail and devil horns and angel halo. Although, the choices of music the skater can use for her programs are nice. In fact, I looked up one of the songs on iTunes to purchase so I could use it in teh future for my program since I am a real skater. The cpstumes are generally pretty and elegant. As a real figure skater, the jumps and especially spins are inaccurate. It makes me frusterated because we, as skaters, want tpo play a game about our sport and it isn't realistic...
When you reach a certain "level" as a skater, it gets frusterating and pointless. When you fall on really hard elements people boo and then you have to start that level over again. The people in your "life" make you have sore feelings and the only way to start the competion over is by turning the NDS completely off. I can only bet younger gamers would use anger and force, maybe hitting the game, or, like myself just putting the game away and ignoring it.
So... it's fun, I must say. But then, when you reach a certain point, it isn't worth the money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great!
This is a great game!!!!!!! I really like how you can skate in competitions and buy things with your allowance. At the end, if you get to a really high level, you can skate in the world championship. When you start the game you
live in a small town with only a few buildings. as you continue playing the town will get bigger and bigger. you can train for jumps and spins but not the basic things like crossovers and stroking. every week you get a new goal to master. either a jump or a spin. If you fall on the jump of fail on the spin you have to try a second time. The jumps will get harder and harder until they are almost impossible. It is also kind of hard to raise your
stamina. if you run out of stamina in a competition it is more difficult to spin. your private skating coach (coach Summers) I find kind of annoying. but I think that it is a pretty good game and you can play it again if you wanted
to. I really like it and I think that if you're in to figure skating (or if you want to be a figure skater) you would like this. :)

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Would be great except for ONE little problem...
This is a very cute game, and not as boring as most of the Imagine series... it's more like Princess Debut, with perky anime characters, costumes to choose from, and rhythm-based gameplay.

Much like Princess Debut, the gameplay can get a little monotonous at the beginning because you must slowly level up your stats and learn new moves, doing only a little each day, and performing the same minigames over and over and over.

Unfortunately, one thing really spoiled it for me - the IRRITATING voice of the character constantly babbling while I am trying to complete the skating routines! If there were a switch to turn off the voice, I would play through this game. As it is, I got fed up with hearing her squeal and couldn't continue.

If you like skating and you don't mind having a high-pitched voice endlessly saying "Here we go! La la la! Woohoo!" in your ear, you'll probably enjoy it. I'd still prefer Princess Debut, or one of the other ice skating games out there.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome!
This game is so much fun! You train your skating skills and deal withschool inbetween events. You train at the gym and complete your goals for the week.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not like the other Imagine Games: Think Princess Debut
This game in Japan is actually by the same people who did Princess Debut, which is the second in a series of Princess games (consisting of Princess Debut/Ohimesama Debyuu & Kurkuru Prinsesu/Twirling Princess) produced by Cave (yes, Cave) in Japan. But the games got published by two different companies in the US; Natsume for Debut and UBI Soft for this one. (I guess UBI beat Natsume to it on this one...)

In other words, this game is not made by the makers of the other Imagine games, and is far better. The graphics are marvelous and the gameplay is really fun. If you have looked at the other Imagine games and were in horror; don't let that deter you from buying this one, since they didn't touch the original cute Japanese graphics or fun gameplay at all, as far as I can tell.

The gameplay is also far, far better than that of the other similar (rip off) game, Princesses on Ice, because in this one you move the stylus around the screen and tap it, while on the other you just tap once every few seconds and have no control over the skater's movements; in this one you do different strokes for different routines.

In addition to doing the skating routines, you play many fun mini games to level up thinks like your health meter and strength, by doing things such as eating sushi or playing or curling. By doing these, you are able to do more routines.

So yes, the cover is a Red Herring; this game is far better than the other imagine series. If you liked Princess Debut, you will like this game; it's a very similar game style by the same people.
