Rating: - Fun Game for the Wii!
This game is a motion sensor game. You maneuver the mercury which starts out silver to tilt and turn thru the levels, sometimes you need to be a different color to complete the level. It is challenging and lots of fun for all ages.
Rating: - Fun for All
This is a really fun game and everyone has loved it from my 6 year old to my middle-aged friends...and myself! It was an instant hit for all of us and it is slightly addictive because it is so darn cute and challenging. The only problem is that it's not 2-player. It would have been easy to make this game with turn-taking and I'm not sure why they didn't. We dealt with it by using one profile and passing the controller around and that was still fun. Also, there is longevity with this game as it gets increasingly hard and has so many levels I don't forsee us beating it any time soon. And once beaten, we'll be going back to try to get the bonuses and beat records, etc.. So, I'd call this an A+ if it's weren't one player...still an A or A-!
Rating: - very fun game
This is a great game, especially for the price. My wife and I found it easy to pick up the controls (very simple), but there are many levels and mental challenges that make it hard to master. It is very fast to just pick up, play a few levels, and then put back down, so it's a perfect way to unwind without having a lot of time or a long attention span. The levels are quite creative, and to be honest the game is rather addicting...but not in a bad way. I feel that it's a steal for $10.

I hate writing a review without playing the game but I have an observation... two very different gamers like this game. One of my boys (12 yrs) likes racing and sports games while the other (10 yrs) the Lego series, Mario and the like. I have found both boys playing Mercury Meltdown. They said it took a bit to get used to it but once they did they really like it. Neither boy would have picked this game out on their own but I encouraged them to based on reviews...they are glad they did because it was a good bang for their buck.
